    The D'Youville College women's basketball team travels to Altoona, PA on Saturday to take on the Penn State Altoona Lions in the AMCC Game of the Week.

    Cannistraci had a terrific week for the Lady Lions, helping her team go 2-0 in a pair of AMCC games while averaging a double-double. In Wednesday night's win over Pitt-Greensburg, she totaled 13 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks, two steals, and two assists. In Saturday's victory against Alfred State, she grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds while scoring 15 points, recording four steals, blocking three shots, and dishing out two assists. On the week, Cannistraci averaged 14.0 points per game, 14.0 rebounds per game, 3.0 blocks per game, 3.0 steals per game, and 2.0 assists per game.

    Penn State Behrend (5-2, 3-0 AMCC) travels to D'Youville College (4-3, 2-0 AMCC) on Wednesday evening for the AMCC women's basketball game of the week.
  • Nadege Durand, Pitt-Greensburg, Women's Basketball

    Durand posted a double-double in both of Pitt-Greensburg's games this past week against Franciscan and Penn State Behrend. Against Franciscan, Durand scored 24 points, grabbed 11 boards, and shot 71.4% (10-of-14) from the floor in 29 minutes of action. The junior then followed her double-double against the Barons with 12 points and 12 boards against Behrend. After leading the conference in rebounding last season, Durand has continued her prowess on the boards leading the conference in rebounding (11.0) and has recorded a double-double in five of the seven games so far this season.

    The AMCC women's basketball game of the week features two of only four teams in the league without a conference loss so far in the young season. Penn State Behrend has started off 2-0 in conference play, while Pitt-Greensburg opened up with a 1-0 record.
  • Haley Kirisits, D'Youville College, Women's Basketball

    Kirisits had another big week for the Spartans, helping the women earn their first conference win of the season. On Wednesday against the reigning conference champion Hilbert Hawks, Kirisits led the team with 18 points in the 60-47 victory. She shot an outstanding 8-for-12 from the field in 38 minutes to go with three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Then on Saturday in the 75-71 overtime loss to Keuka, Kirisits recorded her second double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds to go with three steals and two assists. The freshman currently leads the team with 11.5 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game through six career games - five of which she has started. Her 46.7 FG% leads the team as well with Kirisits scoring double-figures in four of six games this season.

    Penn State Altoona women's basketball senior guard Finnley Christine set a personal milestone during the Lady Lions' game on Friday night against Saint Vincent College, reaching the 1,000 point mark for her collegiate career.

    Cannistraci got off to a great start for the Lady Lions, helping her team go 1-1 against a pair of PAC opponents. In Wednesday night's win at Geneva, she scored a team-high 23 points to go along with 12 rebounds, five steals, three assists, and two blocks. During Friday evening's loss to Saint Vincent, Cannistraci put up 18 points while adding five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. In two games last week, Cannistraci averaged 20.5 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game, 3.5 steals per game, 3.0 assists per game, and 1.0 block per game. The junior shot 56.5% from the field, including 50% from three-point range. She also went 12-for-14 from the free throw line.

    Dibble started against Waynesburg on Friday for the season opener. Dibble registered a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. She also had three blocks and one assist while leading the team to an 83-74 win.
