MAJEWSKI NAMED PLAYER OF THE YEAR AS WBB ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM IS RELEASED

Penn State Behrend senior G Rachel Majewski has been named the 2025 AMCC Women's Basketball Player of the Year. Majewski led the conference in points (422), points per game (17.6), points per 40 min (26.5) and field goals made(174). She ranked 36th in NCAA Division III statistics in field goals and 67th in points. Majewski led the team in scoring in a team-best 13 contests and registered double-figure points in 19 games. She scored 20 or more points in nine games and tied a career-high 33 points at Altoona. Majewski set the Penn State Behrend all-time scoring record this season at 1,710 and counting. In conference play, she averaged 19.3 points per game. She also averaged 3.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and boasted a 1.6 assist/turnover ratio.

Mount Aloysius College sophomore F Molly Kosmack and Penn State Altoona junior F Avana Sayles have been tabbed as the AMCC Defensive Co-Players of the Year.

Kosmack finished the season fourth in the AMCC in scoring, first in rebounds per game, and first in field goal percentage. She ranked 10th nationally in field goal percentage, second in the AMCC in free throw percentage, and second in blocks.

Sayles made a huge impact on the defensive end of the court all season for the Lions. In the AMCC, she ranked third in defensive rebounds (155), steals (64), blocks (35), and blocks per game (1.4), fifth in steals per game (2.6), and sixth in defensive rebounds per game (6.2).

Penn State Behrend freshman F Alaina Fabin has earned Newcomer of the Year honors. Fabin led the team, and was ninth in the AMCC, in rebounds per game (7.1) and was fourth in scoring with 10.0 points per game. She ranked second in the AMCC in field-goal percentage (49.8) and sixth in total steals (38). Fabin led the team in scoring in seven games while scoring double-digit points in 11 contests. In her first collegiate start in the season opener, Fabin tallied her first double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Coach of the Year honors goes to Penn State Behrend head coach Christine VanHook. VanHook led the Lions to their first undefeated regular season in program history. Behrend went 16-0 in conference play, earning the regular season title and the top seed in the AMCC conference tournament.
