BEN ARSENAULT ANNOUNCED AS HILBERT WOMEN'S BASKETBALL COACH

Hilbert College Athletics and Athletic Director Tim Seil are excited to announce Ben Arsenault as the next head women's basketball coach.

Arsenault joins Hilbert after most recently serving as Head Women’s Basketball coach at Keystone College, his Alma Mater. In his first year, he rebuilt the roster by recruiting 14 new student‑athletes in a four‑month span, guided the team to a 3.33 GPA, and led strategic fundraising initiatives. His work helped establish a strong foundation for long-term program success. In addition to leading the Keystone Women’s Basketball Program, Arsenault also held the role of Head Women’s Flag Football Coach with the Giants.

Prior to Keystone, Arsenault spent two seasons as head coach at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. During his tenure, the Eagles recorded 21 wins over two seasons, the program’s best two‑year stretch since 2018, and reached the conference playoffs in back‑to‑back years. Under his leadership, Spalding doubled its recruiting goals, enrolled 13 newcomers, developed four all‑conference performers, and maintained a team GPA of 3.62 while earning national recognition on the WBCA Academic Honor Roll.

Arsenault also enjoyed a successful four-year stint at Vermont State University–Lyndon, where he led the program to the conference semifinals in his opening season, just the second time in program history. The team advanced to the postseason every year under his guidance, and Arsenault became the program’s all-time leader in playoff wins. He developed three all‑conference players and 12 all‑academic selections. In 2020, he was named SAAC Coach of the Year.

In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Arsenault has held leadership roles at the secondary education level, including head varsity girls’ basketball coach and athletic director roles.

A graduate of Keystone College with a bachelor’s degree in Sport and Recreation Management, Arsenault is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Maine at Farmington. He is a member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association and brings extensive experience in recruiting platforms, program administration, fundraising, and student‑athlete development.
