Avana Sayles, Penn State Altoona, Women's Basketball

Sayles had an historic week for the Lions as she became just the sixth player in Altoona Lions' women's basketball program history to reach 1,000 career points in her team's victory at Marywood on Wednesday night. In that contest, she finished with 25 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one block. The junior followed that up with 20 points, 10 rebounds, six steals, three blocks, and one assist in the Lions' loss to Alfred U on Saturday afternoon. On the week, Avana averaged 22.5 points per game, 10.0 rebounds per game, 4.5 steals per game, 2.0 assists per game, and 2.0 blocks per game. The double-doubles were her third and fourth of the season.
