Mount Aloysius College blasted open a three-way log jam at the top of the standings on day two of the AMCC November Round Robin, sweeping all four of its Baker matches to win the first conference clash of the season.
The Mounties recorded a 3-1 start on Saturday in the team format, as did Penn St. Altoona and host Medaille College. The order remained the same after the Baker format, but no tiebreak criteria was necessary. The Mount Aloysius squad lost just 5 games in 4 Baker matches to power their way to victory.
The final standings were:
1 - Mount Aloysius (7-1)
2 - Penn St. Altoona (6-2)
3 - Medaille (5-3)
4 - Pitt-Bradford (2-6)
5 - New Jersey City (0-8)
The two day event was held at Classic Lanes in Kenmore, NY. The second round robin event will be hosted by Penn St. Altoona at Holiday Bowl on January 16-17. The bowlers then return to Western New York and Classic Lanes for the championship on February 6-7.
