However, the Mounties threw a 797 in their first match to reclaim a seven-pin lead in the standings over NJCU (4,779-4,772) after the Gothic Knights leapfrogged Mount Aloysius in the final match of Saturday's action.
Mount Aloysius went 4-0 on the day, and performed well in Baker, gradually increasing its lead over the Knights to 99 pins (5,681-5,582), then 177 pins (6,547-6,370) midway through the second day. Ultimately, the Mounties owned a 345-pin advantage over NJCU for first place in the standings—8,286 to 7,941. Meanwhile, NJCU claimed a 346-pin margin over third-place Medaille College (7,595). Pitt-Bradford (7,166) and Penn State-Altoona (6,981) were fourth and fifth.
