MEDAILLE, MOUNT ALOYSIUS TO CLASH FOR AMCC WOMEN'S BOWLING TITLE

Medaille College remains as the only unbeaten team as they punched their ticket to the AMCC women's bowling championship match with a Saturday morning victory over Mount Aloysius College. The Mavericks will face Mount Aloysius once again on Sunday morning, this time for the conference title, as the Mounties bounced back to defeat Saint Vincent College in the final match of the day to earn their spot in the conference final and a shot for the AMCC's automatic bid to the national tournament.

Top-seeded Medaille continued their strong play on Saturday morning, as the Mavs defeated Mount Aloysius 2-0 in Match #3 to advance to Sunday's championship match. The Mavericks opened up with an 867-772 victory in traditional play, as Mackenzie Derleth and Morgan Walsh each rolled 193's to lead their team. The Mavs then closed out the match with a 1,021-873 victory in the Baker TPF 5 game series.

Saint Vincent ran away with the traditional team match in Match #4, as they defeated Pitt-Bradford 865-663. Dani Koehler led the Bearcats with a 209 to help give Saint Vincent the 1-0 lead on the morning. The Bearcats then earned the 2-0 victory as they came out on top of the Baker TPF 5 game series, 811-711.

Mount Aloysius and Saint Vincent squared off in Match #5, the final elimination game of the tournament, to decide who Medaille will face on Sunday for the conference title. The Mounties came out strong, picking up the 832-806 victory in the traditional game format. Mount Aloysius' Michelle Bello recorded the game's high score of 204, while St. Vincent's Dani Koehler rolled a 200. However, Saint Vincent wasn't ready to go home, as they rallied in the Baker TPF 5 game series to take the comfortable 844-798 lead and force the best-of-seven Baker tiebreaker series. The Mounties brought their "A" game for the final series, as they won four straight games to advance to Sunday's championship.

The championship match will begin at 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
