AMCC BOWLERS PREPARE FOR FIRST ROUND ROBIN OF THE SEASON
AMCC bowlers are busy preparing for the first of two conference round robin tournaments that kicks off this weekend. Hilbert College will serve as the host, which will take place on Saturday, February 2 and Sunday, February 3 at Classic Lanes in Kenmore, NY.

Hilbert College will serve as the host, which will take place on Saturday, February 2 and Sunday, February 3 at Classic Lanes in Kenmore, NY. Round Robin #1 will be a five game Baker format and total pinfall will be used as the tiebreak criteria if teams are tied in W/L record in the standings.
Medaille College leads all AMCC teams with a 17.14 individual Baker format average, while Mount Aloysius College is right behind them with a 17.03 average. Saint Vincent College rounds out the top three Baker format averages with 15.92.
The Mavericks boast two of the top bowlers in the league when it comes to Baker competition. Medaille senior Morgan Walsh is tops in the league with a 19.18 Baker average, and has also rolled a league-best 308 frames. Sophomore Carla Hansen ranks third with a 17.99 Baker average.
Saint Vincent sophomore Dani Kohler's 18.90 places her second in Baker standings, while the Mounties' Jessica Bello and Rayissa Amon round out the top five individuals. Bello averages 17.97 in the Baker format, while Amon is averaging 17.90.

The second round robin event will be held March 2-3, hosted by New Jersey City University. The results of the two round robin events will determine the seeding for the AMCC championship. The top four teams in the standings will qualify for the mega-match format tournament to be held March 22-24 at Sims Lanes in Beaver Falls, PA. The champion will receive the AMCC's first ever automatic bid to the NCAA National Championship Tournament.
