#2 Medaille College claimed the 2022 AMCC Bowling Championship by defeating top-seeded Saint Vincent College in the championship round on Sunday.

Medaille, coming out of the loser's bracket, started the day off strong by winning the traditional team format by a score of 1014-958. The Bearcats' Jessica Guesman led all bowlers with a 243, while Paige Snook led the Mavs with a 224 and Taylor Strickland was right behind her with a 210.
In the five-game Baker series, the Mavs stormed out to a 214-185 lead in game one. The Bearcats answered with a 189-157 victory in game two to take a tight three pin advantage heading into game three. Medaille responded by winning game three 177-160 for the 14 pin advantage going into the fourth game. The Mavs won game four in a convincing manner, outscoring the Bearcats 210-149 for the 75 pin advantage heading into the final game. In game five, the Bearcats outscored the Mavs 192-159, but Medaille held on for the total pinfall advantage of 917-875.
With Saint Vincent entering the tournament undefeated, and Medaille with one loss on the weekend, the Mavs' Match 8 victory forced a best-of-7 series to determine the AMCC champion.
Medaille opened the best-of-7 series with a quick 2-0 lead, winning game one 222-141 and game two 197-192. Saint Vincent didn't want to go away, as the Bearcats picked up game three with a 205-154 victory, putting the series at 2-1. The Mavs closed out the series, and the championship, by winning game four 177-125 and game five 208-163.
This marks Medaille's fifth consecutive AMCC Bowling Championship. The Mavs will earn the conference's automatic bid the NCAA national tournament.
