Medaille College is in the lead after day one of the first of two AMCC Round Robins. In the five game Baker total pinfall series, the Mavs went 5-0, knocking down a total of 4,487 pins. In second place is La Roche University (3,902 TPF), with Saint Vincent College (3,498 TPF) rounding out the top three.
The Mavs went undefeated in all five matches on the day using Baker scoring. Medaille started strong beating Penn State Altoona 887-742, and Pitt Bradford 885-797. In the third match of the day, the Mavs put up their best total pinfall score of 953, topping Pitt Greensburg's 849. Medaille continued their strong performance with a 935-739 win over New Jersey City University, and an 827-718 win over Penn State Behrend.
Medaille's Sarah Radt led the Mavs with a team-high total pinfall of 929 and a Baker frame average of 18.95. Mackenzie Smith followed closely behind Radt with an 890 total pinfall averaging 17.80
La Roche went 4-1 on the day with a total pinfall of 3,902 to hold down second place after day one. The Redhawks picked up wins over Mount Aloysius College (848-720), New Jersey City (768-680), Penn State Altoona (782-718), and Pitt-Bradford (820-807). La Roche dropped their only match of the day to Pitt-Greensburg (684-776).
Finshing the day in the top three, was Saint Vincent College who went 3-1 with 3,498 total pinfall. The Bearcats started the day off with a bye before picking up their first win of the day against Penn State Behrend (854-761). They went on to beat New Jersey City (833-691) before dropping one to Pitt-Bradford (902-991). The Bearcats ended day one with another victory a 909-780 triumph over Penn State Altoona.
Day two of the AMCC Round Robin, hosted by Saint Vincent College, will continue on Sunday at Lincoln Lanes in Latrobe, PA.
