HERONS LAND AT NO. 7 IN FINAL NTCA DIVISION II/III POLL
On the heels of the program's first AMCC Championship and NCAA National Collegiate Championship appearance, the William Smith College bowling team earned its first top 10 ranking, landing at No. 7 in the final National Tenpin Coaches Association Division II/III Poll.

The Herons are the second-highest ranked Division III team in the poll. UW-Whitewater is third. The other five teams ranked ahead of William Smith are Division II teams with Maryville (MO) grabbing the top spot with 31 of a possible 32 first place votes.
The Herons went 50-23 in program's second varsity season, a 46-win improvement over the inaugural 2022-23 season. William Smith was 18-2 in AMCC play, earning a share of the league's regular season championship. The Herons went unbeaten at the AMCC Championship, earning the conference crown and the accompanying automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
William Smith won its NCAA opener, defeating Division II Fayetteville State 2-0. The Herons were eliminated from the national title chase following 2-0 losses to eventual national runner-up Arkansas State and 2023 national champion Vanderbilt. The Red Wolves were No. 2 and the Commodores No. 5 in the final NTCA overall poll.
William Smith earned its first national ranking in the February NTCA Division II/III poll, landing at No. 11.
