NTCA ANNOUNCES TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL ACADEMIC AWARDS
Four AMCC bowling teams, along with 24 individuals, were recognized by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) this week after the NTCA All-Academic Scholar Athletes and the All-Academic Scholar Teams were announced.
Four AMCC bowling teams, along with 24 individuals, were recognized by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) this week after the NTCA All-Academic Scholar Athletes and the All-Academic Scholar Teams were announced.
To qualify for the NTCA All-Academic Scholar Team award, programs must have maintained a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher during the 2024–25 academic year. This year, forty-nine teams earned this prestigious distinction, exemplifying a strong commitment to excellence both on the lanes and in the classroom. AMCC teams that were honored include Hilbert College (3.426 team GPA), Saint Vincent College (3.340 team GPA), William Smith College (3.310), and Penn State Behrend (3.278).
The NTCA All-Academic Team honors collegiate bowlers who have excelled in the classroom while competing at the highest levels of the sport. To be eligible, student-athletes must have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.4 during the academic year. AMCC bowlers who were recognized include:
