MOUNTIES WIN AMCC WOMEN'S GOLF INVITATIONAL; FRITCH TAKES TOP INDIVIDUAL HONORS
Mount Aloysius College won the 2025 AMCC Women's Golf Invitational on Saturday at Summit Country Club in Cresson, PA.
The Mounties won the event with a team score of 416 on the par 72 course, while Penn State Altoona took second place with 438. Fellow AMCC schools Carlow University and Hilbert College also had golfers compete in the tournament as individuals.
Mount Aloysius College freshman Chloe Fritch and Carlow senior Lilli Hope tied at the top of the leaderboard, each recording a 90 on the day. Both golfers competed in a one hole shootout, with Fritch coming out on top, earning first place honors.
Gabby Catalogna was Penn State Altoona's top finisher, carding a 93 to place third out of 15 individuals in the round. Alexis Peacock shot 102 to come in seventh place. Clarissa Long took 10th place with a score of 108, and Alyssa Franks was 15th with 135.
Carlow's Jena Norman landed two par and tied for fourth overall with a 99, while Maci Lorigan birdied on four and hit three pars for a 101 to place sixth.
Hilbert junior Madison Esmond led a trio of Hawks, carding a 106 on the day.
