AMCC ANNOUNCES WOMEN'S LACROSSE ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM
Alfred State College midfielder Karlee Hargather has been named the AMCC Offensive Player of the Year. Hargather started all 16 games this year for the Pioneers. She led the team in multiple statistical categories, including goals (58), assists (44), points (102), caused turnovers (40), and draw controls (90). Hargather picked up 68 groundballs and scored 13 free-position goals.
La Roche University goalkeeper Julianna Hornikel earns Defensive Player of the Year honors. Hornikel finished the season with a 4.87 goals against average, ranking first in the AMCC and second nationally, just 0.11 of the national lead. She also registered a 61.9% save percentage, tops not only in the AMCC, but DIII nationally by nearly 7%. Her 56 goals allowed were the fewest in the AMCC and the second fewest nationally.
Pitt-Bradford freshman midfielder Addison Molampy has been tabbed the AMCC Newcomer of the Year. Molampy finished her debut campaign 2nd in the AMCC in goals with 45, points with 67, and assists with 22. She converted on 46% of her 97 shots and put 78.4% of her attempts on target. Molampy also registered 17 caused turnovers and 47 ground balls. She scored a season-high 7 goals twice, in wins over Hilbert and Warren Wilson.She was named AMCC Offensive Player of the Week twice.
Coach of the Year honors goes to Alfred State head coach Steve Peed. In his first year at the helm, Peed led the Pioneers to a 3-1 conference record to go along with their first AMCC regular season and conference tournament titles.
