Smeal led the Mounties on defense, as they went 2-0 on the week. She picked up nine ground balls over the two games, caused six turnovers and grabbed five draw controls. In the Mounties' AMCC win against Hilbert, she had five ground balls and four caused turnovers, as she continually disrupted the Hawks' offense. Smeal currently ranks in the top five in the AMCC in all defensive categories outside of saves.

BEST OF THE REST: Hornikel was solid in goal for the Redhawks, picking up a victory over Alfred State on Thursday in their lone game of the week and clinching the top seed in the AMCC Tournament, as she faced 19 shots in the game and ended the night with 14 saves, while also leading all players in the contest with a game-high 10 ground balls...Hilbert GK Olivia Cleary posted a career-best of 21 saves in a single game this weekend at Mount Aloysius, recording a solid 58.3 save percentage, while also adding three ground balls.
