DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Mount Aloysius D Courtney Bassett made her presence felt in the season-opening win at Geneva, anchoring the Mounties on the defensive end. She finished with eight ground balls and four caused turnovers, helping control possession and limit scoring opportunities in the 15-4 victory.

 

BEST OF THE REST: La Roche M Kiki Nemcek opened the season with a strong performance, finishing the 14-3 season-opening victory over Thiel by scooping up six ground balls, collecting six draw controls and caused a pair of turnovers, while scoring three goals on the offensive end.
