BEHREND SWEEPS WRESTLING TOP AWARDS AS ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM IS ANNOUNCED
Penn State Behrend sophomore Nolan Fenton has been named the 2025 AMCC Men's Wrestler of the Year.
Penn State Behrend sophomore Nolan Fenton has been named the 2025 AMCC Men's Wrestler of the Year. At 197, Fenton recorded a 21-3 overall record and an 8-1 dual-meet mark. The sophomore opened the season with 11 straight wins, including eight pins and two technical falls. Overall, he led the team with 11 pins and five technical falls. Fenton also added one major decision. He won the AMCC Championship in his respective weight class via all technical falls, while two of his three losses were to nationally-ranked opponents. He also won the W&J Invite and placed fifth at the RIT Invite.
Penn State Behrend freshman Rudy Brown has been tabbed as the AMCC Newcomer of the Year. Brown was crowned the AMCC Champion at 157, posting three straight wins including one fall to improve his record to 19-2 on the season. He went undefeated in dual-meet action, winning 15 consecutive matches. Brown had six falls, four major decisions and three technical falls this season.
Coach of the Year honors goes to Penn State Behrend head coach Caleb Garvey. Garvey led the Lions to a 9-7 overall record and a 3-1 conferece mark, finishing in second place at the AMCC Championships.
