Cory finished 4-0 at the Ithaca Invitational to win the 184-pound weight class. The sophomore, ranked No. 4 in the country, earned a technical fall and pin on day one, won a 12-10 decision in the semifinals, and knocked off the No. 3 nationally ranked 184-pounder, 6-3, in the championship match.

BEST OF THE REST: Alfred State JR Zach Levey started his day in the 133 bracket with a fall in 1:58, he then followed with another first period fall to advance to the semifinals. In the semifinal match, he notched a 10-6 decision win, then tallied a takedown followed by a two point near-fall before getting a fall in 4:48 in the first place match to go 4-0 on the day...PS-Behrend GR Peyton Hearn went 3-1 and placed second at 157 at the Alvernia Invitational on Saturday. He posted a pin in 1:54 to advance to the quarterfinals, then registered a 4-1 win before earning a sudden-victory win in the semifinals before falling to his Alvernia opponent in sudden victory (SV-1 4-1)...Hiram SR Alex Savering tied for third in the 141-lb bracket at the Mount Union Invitational, winning five of his six bouts on the day, as he notably beat Mount Union's Ambrose Boni, who he lost to in last year's NCAA Central Regional. With the five wins, Savering became the first Hiram student-athlete to reach 50 career wins since the program was reinstituted in 2019...Pitt-Bradford SO DJ Slovick got off to a good start for Pitt-Bradford as he picked up a pair of victories against quality opponents in the season-opening tri-match at Washington & Jefferson. Wrestling at 174, Slovick picked up a 16-3 major decision victory in the match against the hosts, then in the second match against Fairmont State, Slovick pinned his opponent in 2:15.
