The AMCC women's soccer schedule kicks off on Saturday afternoon with a showdown of two of the top teams in the league. Penn State Behrend, with a 4-4 overall record, travels to Pitt-Greensburg (5-1-1) for a rematch of last year's conference title game where Behrend came out on top, 6-1.
Penn State Behrend, the reigning conference champion, enters the season looking for their 13th conference title. Behrend is led offensively by senior forward Jordan Oberlander who currently leads the conference with 10 goals and 22 points, while senior forward Olivia Belack is second with four assists. Defensively, senior goalkeeper Ania Gorski has 46 saves with a 1.98 goals against average.
Junior midfielder Bri Burgunder has been hot for the Bobcats, racking up nine goals and three assists on the year, while freshman Alexa Fetterman has also chipped in with four goals. Starting goalkeeper Shannon Edwards has only surrendered five goals in over 400 minutes played with an .853 save percentage. Sophomore goalkeeper Kaitlyn Watson has only given up one goal in 245 minutes played, leading the conference with a .909 save percentage and 0.37 goals against average.
