Poeller had an impressive start to her 2019 season this past week. Poeller recorded back-to-back shutouts to begin the season as the team defeated Bethany 7-0 on Friday and took down Alfred University 1-0 on Saturday to win the Spartan Classic. Poeller made two saves against Bethany and then made 12 saves against Alfred to be named Tournament MVP. The two starts Poeller got were the first two of her career. She currently leads or is tied for the lead in saves (14), save percentage (1.000), goals allowed (0), and goals allowed average (0) in the AMCC.

BEST OF THE REST: Pitt-Greensburg GK Lauren Yoder posted a shutout in both of Pitt-Greensburg's games this past weekend, as she made two saves in the 3-0 victory over St. Vincent in the season-opener, and followed that performance making eight stops in the 2-0 win against Wisconsin-Platteville...Pitt-Bradford FR GK Sadie Wood played all 90 minutes and earned the first win of her collegiate career Saturday, stopping 14 of 15 shots on goal sent her way...Franciscan JR GK Marita Ostrich posted a shut out win in her first game in net since the 2017 season (studied abroad in 2018), recording six saves in the 3-0 win...PS-Altoona D Arianna Mancini got her freshman season off to a strong start, scoring her first collegiate goal in a 1-1 draw at Cairn on Sunday...Mount Aloysius M Maddie Doyle played a strong game in the midfield defensively to help force the team's only game into overtime, as she helped to limit a strong Stevenson offensive attack...La Roche GK Isabelle Orange made nine saves on 11 shots on goal to keep La Roche in the game.
