BEHREND WOMEN HOLD ONTO LEAD AFTER DAY TWO OF SWIMMING AND DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS
Winning four of the seven events that took place Thursday evening, the Penn St. Behrend women ended Day Two of the AMCC Swimming and Diving Championship 74 points ahead of second place Cabrini College.

The Lions' 200 yard medley relay team of sophomore Mia Pietropola and freshmen Maryn Horn, Gwen Lowery, and Emma Daghir was victorious with a time of 1:51.71.
Lowery also claimed gold in the 100 yard butterfly (1:00.68) and went on to set an AMCC meet and open record in the 200 yard freestyle by finishing in 1:59.08.
Behrend's Pietropola also set an AMCC meet and open record in the 100 yard breastroke when she finished in 1:06.40.
Cabrini freshman Casey Merrill swam to the title in the 400 yard IM, posting a winning time of 4:59.09.
The 800 yard freestyle relay went to the Cabrini foursome of sophomores Christina Melchiorre and Allie Stein and freshmen Merrill and Brooke Hagan, who finished in a time of 8:35.90.
Pitt-Bradford sophomore Elizabeth Prager captured the title in the 100 yard breaststroke, by hitting the wall in 1:00.55.
The 2015 AMCC Swimming and Diving Championship will wrap up on Saturday, with the preliminaries beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the finals starting at 6:00 p.m.
