The AMCC is embarking on its 20th anniversary during the 2016-17 academic year. Since 1997 there have been many outstanding teams and individual student-athletes who have risen to the top of their sports. We are honored to recognize and highlight some of those accomplishments throughout this anniversary year.
Penn State Behrend has been a dominant force in AMCC women's tennis, winning 13 conference titles since 1997. Penn State Altoona is the only other repeat champion in the sport, winning back-to-back title in 2001 and 2002.
2011 Behrend graduate Arica Christman was a remarkable four-time AMCC Player of the Year (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011). Christman went undefeated in conference play in No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles throughout her junior and senior years.
Behrend's Allison Mudrey also put together quite the resume, as she compiled back-to-back-to-back player of the year honors in 2004, 2005, and 2006. As a freshman, Mudrey went undefeated in conference play at No. 1 singles, and then put together two additional seasons of going undefeated in both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles.
