Franciscan University kept their conference unbeaten streak in tact as they swept through all matches of the AMCC tournament to claim their second straight championship.
No other tennis team in AMCC history, men or women, has completed such a dominant sweep of opponents through the regular and post-season.
The top seeded Barons defeated #2 Penn St. Altoona, 5-0, earning their third title in four years. After sweeping the doubles, Franciscan wrapped up the win with victories at #2 Singles (Maria Binette) and #3 Singles (Grace Hammel).
They will represent the AMCC with the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament in May.
