PENN STATE BEHREND WINS 14TH AMCC WOMEN'S TENNIS TITLE
The Penn State Behrend (6-2) women's tennis team won their 14th Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship with a 5-4 win over No. 1 Pitt-Greensburg (6-1) on Sunday at the Westwood Racquet Club.

The Penn State Behrend (6-2) women's tennis team won their 14th Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship with a 5-4 win over No. 1 Pitt-Greensburg (6-1) on Sunday at the Westwood Racquet Club.
Behrend avenged a regular-season loss to the Bobcats to claim the AMCC Championship for the first time since 2015. The title came down to the No. 1 single match between the Lions' Erica Jasinski and the Bobcats' Emily Ruhlman. Jasinski won the first set in a tiebreaker 7-6 (9-7), before falling in the second set 6-2. In the super tiebreaker, Jasinski tallied a 10-5 win to break a 4-all tie and give Behrend the win. The Lions were down 2-1 after the doubles matches, claiming the No. 3 match thanks to Rachel Weber and Sara Howard. Weber and Howard posted a 8-5 win at the third spot. After falling in the No. 2-3 singles matches, Behrend registered wins in 4-6 singles to even the match at 4-all and leaving the championship up to No. 1 singles . With the win, the Lions handed Pitt-Greensburg its first loss of the season
The Lions earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
