PITT-GREENSBURG WOMEN'S TENNIS BATTLES BISHOPS IN NCAA TOURNAMENT

The Pitt-Greensburg women's tennis team made the program's third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournamnet. The Bobcats battled, but were not able to overcome the Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan, falling 5-0. The loss marks the end of a four-year run for the seniors that saw them win over 40 matches, and did not lose a regular season AMCC match in their time in a Bobcat uniform.

The Bishops were able to have their way with the Bobcats, but the doubles pair of Emily Ruhlman and Isabella Lane put up a fight at No. 1 doubles, giving the Battling Bishops all they could handle, taking it down to the final game. NC Wesleyan was able to reach five match wins before the Bobcats were able to secure a win. Due to NCAA rules, once a team reaches five match wins, it is over.

The Bobcat women's tennis seniors finish as one of the school's most successful group of athletes, making the most NCAA tournament appearances from any group in school history.
