Stoehr led the Lady Mounties tennis team to two wins over the weekend against non-conference foes Thiel and Lycoming College. Teaming with partner Emily Goldyn, Stoehr and Goldyn won at #1 doubles 8-6 against Thiel College. Then playing #1 doubles against Lycoming College, the pair won 8-0 not giving up a game. Stoehr won both of her singles matches in straight sets 6-2, 6-1 at the #3 position against Thiel and 7-5, 6-2 in the #2 position against Lycoming, getting the Lady Mounties off to a 2-0 start.

BEST OF THE REST: Pitt-Greensburg JR Sydney Geary went 2-0 at #4 singles, sweeping both matches 6-0, 6-0, while also going perfect at #2 doubles winning 8-1 and 8-4...La Roche FR Chardai Guthrie went 4-0 for the week, defeating Muskingum at #4 singles and #2 doubles and Bethany at #4 singles and #3 doubles..PS Behrend JR Chelsea Czerwinski opened the season with a pair of wins over Medaille on Saturday, only giving up two match points in singles...PS Altoona SO Fatima Tran went undefeated at 2-0 in the #6 singles flight while posting a 1-1 record in #3 doubles...Franciscan SR Renata Crespo picked up wins in both singles (6-1, 6-0) and doubles (8-1) over Bethany College.
