The Panthers did not drop a set in the championship game, winning 25-20, 27-25, 25-11.
The winners were led, as they were all season, by the play of middle hitter Kirsten Platz and setter Christina Rauh. Platz racked up 12 kills and assisted on 4 blocks, while Rauh recorded 33 assists, 11 digs and 5 kills. The Lions got outstanding effort from right side hitter Logan Reedy (15 kills, 3 assisted blocks) and setter Emily Bryan (27 assists).
Pitt-Bradford's only previous title came in 2010, while Penn St. Altoona won in 2006 and 2011.
The Panthers await word on Monday afternoon for their first round opponent in the NCAA Division III tournament.
