Pitt-Bradford (20-5, 7-0 AMCC) enters Saturday's match against La Roche College (6-13, 3-2 AMCC) with hopes of locking up the No. 1 seed for the conference postseason tournament. Pitt-Bradford, the only undefeated team left in conference play, is currently sitting solo at the top of the conference standings. La Roche is in third place and is fighting to climb in the standings as we begin to approach the end of the regular season.
The Redhawks swept the defending AMCC champions, Franciscan University, 3-0 in their last conference match-up. They are led by sophomore outside hitter Laura Nath who is tops in the conference with 290 total kills and 4.46 per set. Freshman libero Hannah Scott is first in the AMCC with 7.48 digs per set.
The Panthers defeated Hilbert their last time out to improve to 20-5 overall and 7-0 versus AMCC opponents. With the win, this year's squad became just the second team in school history to reach the 20-win plateau. Pitt-Bradford is led by senior setter Christina Rauh, who leads the AMCC in aces per set (0.65) and assists per set (8.52), and sophomore middle hitter Kirsten Platz, who ranks in the top 10 nationally in hitting percentage (.410) and among the league leaders in kills per set (3.03).
