AMCC WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL GAME OF THE WEEK: MOUNT ALOYSIUS @ PENN STATE BEHREND
As we enter the final day of regular season play, the AMCC women's volleyball season once again proves to be a tight race. With Penn State Altoona and Pitt-Bradford tied at the top with 6-2 records, Mount Aloysius, Penn State Behrend, La Roche, and Franciscan are all tied with 5-3 records. Playoff seedings are up in the air as the Mounties and Lions battle it out on Saturday to try and climb the postseason rankings.

As we enter the final day of regular season play, the AMCC women's volleyball season once again proves to be a tight race. With Penn State Altoona and Pitt-Bradford tied at the top with 6-2 records, Mount Aloysius, Penn State Behrend, La Roche, and Franciscan are all tied with 5-3 records. Playoff seedings are up in the air as the Mounties and Lions battle it out on Saturday to try and climb the postseason rankings.
Coming of a big win against La Roche, Mount Aloysius stands in a four-way tie for third place in the AMCC with a record of 5-3 (13-15 overall). Several Mounties lead the AMCC statistically. Junior middle hitter Sarah Fisher is first in the AMCC with her hitting percentage (.338), second in kills per set (3.16) and second in total kills (284). Freshman DS Kylee Clawson is second in the conference in digs per set (5.63) and total digs (495). Sophomore setter Emma Pevarnik is second in the conference in aces per set (0.53). The Mounties are also powered by junior setter Jessica Bressler with 163 total kills and 360 assists.
The Lions have secured a spot in the AMCC playoffs, while Saturday’s match against Mt. Aloysius combined with other conference outcomes will determine their seed. The Mounties and Behrend are No. 1 and 2 in the AMCC in total kills, respectively, with the Lions leading in kills per set (11.06). Only one assist separates the two teams, with Behrend senior setter Hannah Saunders ranking third in assists per set (6.95). Senior outside hitter Rachel Frye leads the team and is third in the AMCC in kills (244). Behrend holds a 13-0 record against Mt. Aloysius since the all-time series began in 2005.
