    All institution sport teams which compete for an AMCC championship may select one member from their team who displays good sportsmanship throughout the season to be a member of the All-AMCC Sportsmanship Team.

    The Stockton University (31-3) women's volleyball team defeated Penn State Behrend (19-11) 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-15) in the first round of the 2019 NCAA Division III Championships hosted by Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.

    While the fall sports season has just about ended for most teams, there are several AMCC teams gearing up for yet another game, and what most would consider as the most exciting time of the year.

    Reiland averaged 5.17 kills and 3.33 digs, while hitting .373 in a pair of matches to help the Lions captured the AMCC Championship. She had a double-double in the finals against Pitt-Bradford with a match-high 15 kills and 15 digs. In the semifinals, Reiland posted 16 kills, five digs, three aces and three blocks. She was also named to the AMCC All-Tournament Team.

    Bayer posted an impressive .444 kill percentage for the week in two huge Franciscan victories to make the AMCC playoffs for the first time in her career. Bayer also recorded a double-double, for the eighth time this season, with 19 kills and 13 digs in the playoff-clinching match against La Roche. For the week, she averaged 4.00 kills per set, 3.00 digs per set and five service aces. Bayer registered 25.5 points (5.1 points per set) for the week, which helped her clinch the second most points per set and kills per set in the AMCC this season.

    Gibbons helped the Mounties to a 1-1 week, with 28 kills (4.00 kills per set) and 41 digs (5.86) on the week. She only committed eight errors and hit .278 in the two games. Still holds the top spot in the AMCC in Total Kills and Kills per Set. Also, still ranks in the Top 5 in Total Digs.

    The AMCC women's volleyball game of the week features a showdown for first place in conference standings. Mount Aloysius College (17-6, 7-1 AMCC) travels to Penn State Behrend (13-10, 7-0 AMCC) on Saturday afternoon as both teams are playing for a regular season championship and hosting rights for the conference tournament.

    Reiland recorded a pair of double-doubles to lead Behrend to a 2-0 week in AMCC action as the Lions remain a perfect 6-0 in conference play. She led with 11 kills and 11 digs in a 3-0 win over D'Youville, before registering 15 kills and 11 digs in a 3-2 victory over La Roche. For the week, Reiland averaged 3.25 kills and 2.75 digs while swinging at a .381 clip. She also added five service aces and four blocks.

    October 14, 2019
    Mock had a big night last Tuesday to help lead Penn State Altoona to a 3-0 sweep of AMCC rival Mount Aloysius. She totaled 15 kills on a .324 attack percentage, 14 digs, four assists, two service aces, and one block assist. Lydia accounted for 17.5 points in the match, averaging 5.8 points per set.

    Ashley Repine, Hilbert College's senior women's volleyball player, became the Hawks all-time block assist leader October 5 and currently leads the program with 0.66 Blocks per set.

    Parrish helped the Mounties to a 2-0 week in AMCC play. She hit .393 on the week, with 28 kills and only six hitting errors. For the week, she averaged 3.50 kills per set, 0.63 service aces per set, and 4.3 points per set. Parrish currently ranks first in total kills, during AMCC matches, with 56 kills through four contests.

    Gibbons led the Mounties to a 3-0 week, including 2-0 to open conference play. Gibbons tallied a team high in kills against Lancaster Bible with 23. She also registered 25 digs against Pitt-Bradford, including her 1,000th career dig in the second set. For the week, she averaged 4.08 kills per set, 4.58 digs per set, four service aces, and swung at a .293 clip, while averaging 4.4 points per set. Gibbons continues to lead the AMCC in kills and kills per set.

    Pevarnik led the team in assists during a 2-2 week for the Mounties. For the week, she averaged 9.5 assists per set and registered a season-high, 49, in a five-set win against Shenandoah. Pevarnik currently leads the conference in assists per set with 9.2.
  • Emily Cleveland, Pitt-Bradford, Women's Volleyball

    Cleveland averaged 3.41 kills per set and had 10 or more kills in four of five matches against tough competition this weekend. She hit at a .301 percentage, making just 17 errors with 58 total kills in 136 swings. Cleveland added three assists and eight blocks on her way to earning a spot on the Ginny Hunt Classic All-Tournament Team.

    Gibbons led the Mounties to a 2-0 record this week, picking up wins over Lycoming and Waynesburg. She led her team in kills on the week, as she currently leads the conference in kills per set with 3.71. In a 3-set win at Lycoming, she had 13 kills and eight digs. In the home opener, she had a game-high 16 kills and hit .324. For the week, Gibbons recorded 4.83 kills per set and 2.83 digs per set, while hitting at a .304 clip and averaging 5.0 points per set.

    Bayer led the Lady Barons to a 2-2 weekend at the Marietta River City Classic. She averaged 3.60 kills per set and currently leads the AMCC. Bayer had a career-day with 23 kills, two aces, and 26 digs in a Franciscan 3-2 win over Berea to wrap up the weekend. She had double-digit kill and assists totals in three of the four matches this past weekend. In four matches, Bayer averaged 3.60 kills per set, 3.60 digs per set, 0.47 blocks per set and added eight service aces. She racked up 65.5 points, for an average of 4.4 points per set.

    Megan Valentine, Director of Athletics at Hilbert College, welcomed Bret Stothart back to the collegiate coaching profession after announcing his appointment as the Hawks' newest women's volleyball head coach this week.
