After the 2020 women’s volleyball season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, AMCC teams are ready more than ever to get back into the gym for a new season. According to league coaches, Penn State Behrend, the 2019 AMCC champion, is expected to repeat as conference champions. Coaches look for Pitt-Bradford to finish in the second spot, with Penn State Altoona coming in third.
The AMCC Preseason Player of the Year is Penn State Behrend senior MH Kristin Reiland. Reiland was an AMCC first team all-conference selection and AMCC Co-Player of the Year in 2019. She was third in the AMCC in total kills (314), fourth in kills per set (2.96), seventh in attack percentage (.229), second in aces (51), and fourth in points per set.
The AMCC Championship will be held November 7 at the site of the #1 seed, with the winner earning the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
