AMCC ANNOUNCES WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM
Penn State Altoona senior OH Lydia Mock and Penn State Behrend and junior OH Hannah Phillips have been named AMCC Women's Volleyball Co-Players of the Year.
Penn State Altoona senior OH Lydia Mock and Penn State Behrend and junior OH Hannah Phillips have been named AMCC Women's Volleyball Co-Players of the Year.
Mock lived up to her high expectations this season by putting together a stellar senior season. In regular season conference play, she ranked second in kills per set (3.26), third in total kills (261) and points per set (3.5), fifth in digs per set (3.76), sixth in total points (281.5), and ninth in total digs (301). Mock also contributed 17 service aces and seven total blocks. Earlier this season, she was chosen as the AMCC Defensive Player of the Week one time.
Phillips played six-rotations as both an OH and a RS this season. She finished the regular season ranked first in the AMCC in kills per set, total kills, and points per set. She also ranked sixth in attack percentage and in conference-only matches, she ranked sixth in points per set, seventh in kills per set, and 11th in blocks per set. Phillips was twice named the AMCC Player of the Week this season.
Mount Aloysius College freshman Molly Richards has been named the AMCC Newcomer of the Year. Richards finished the regular season conference play eighth in kills per set, seventh in hitting percentage (.241), and third in digs and digs per set. Richards picked up AMCC Defensive Player of the Week honors two times throughout the season.
Mount Aloysius head coach Brianna Baker has been named the AMCC Coach of the Year for the second time in her career after leading the Mounties to a 4-3 record in conference play.
