The Penn State Behrend women’s volleyball team has been selected by league coaches to defend their league title in 2022.
The Penn State Behrend women’s volleyball team has been selected by league coaches to defend their league title in 2022. The Behrend Lions claimed their sixth AMCC championship a year ago. Alfred State College is expected to finish in the second spot, with Penn State Altoona rounding out the top three.
The AMCC Preseason Player of the Year is Penn State Altoona senior OH Lydia Mock. Mock was an AMCC first team all-conference selection in 2021. She ranked third in the conference in kills per set (3.21), fourth in total kills (202) and points per set (3.6), seventh in total points (224.5), 11th in digs per set (3.22), 12th in total digs (203), and 16th in hitting percentage (.181). Mock was also named to the AMCC All-Tournament team for her postseason performance.
The AMCC Championship will be held November 6 at the site of the #1 seed, with the winner earning the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
