The Penn State Behrend women’s volleyball team has been selected by league coaches to claim the 2023 AMCC women’s volleyball title.
The Penn State Behrend women’s volleyball team has been selected by league coaches to claim the 2023 AMCC women’s volleyball title. Alfred State College, the 2022 AMCC champion, is expected to finish in second place, with Mount Aloysius College and Pitt-Bradford tying for the third spot in preseason rankings.
The AMCC Preseason Player of the Year is Penn State Behrend senior OH Hannah Phillips. Phillips was the AMCC Co-Player of the Year in 2022. She ranked first in the AMCC in kills per set (3.45), total kills (359), and points per set (3.9), while also ranking sixth in attack percentage (.227). She recorded 13 double-doubles a season ago.
The AMCC Championship will be held November 12 at the site of the #1 seed, with the winner earning the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
