RICHARDS HEADLINES WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM
Mount Aloysius College senior OH Molly Richards has been named the AMCC Women's Volleyball Player of the Year for the second time in her career. Richards put together an exceptional conference season for the Mounties, leading Mount Aloysius to their first regular seasont title in program history. Across eight conference matches, Richards led the league with 126 kills and 4.34 kills per set while hitting .196 on 336 attempts. She also ranked sixth in total digs (136) and fifth in digs per set (4.69), showcasing her versatility on both sides of the ball. In addition, Richards tallied 13 service aces and 141.5 total points, finishing second in the conference in points per set (4.9). A six-time AMCC Offensive Player of the Week, Richards consistently set the tone for the Mountie offense and was a key factor in the team's success this season.
Alfred State College freshman outside hitter Gloria Stem and Hilbert College freshman setter Lindsay Madigan have been tabbed as AMCC Co-Newcomers of the Year.
Stem finished the regular season ranked fourth in the conference in kills (315), sixth in the conference in points (365.5) and 13th in aces (40). Stem registered 10 double-doubles on the season. She led the team in kills and was second in digs (254). Stem set a new program record for freshman kills in a season and freshman points in a season.
Madigan had a standout rookie campaign for the Hawks, adding both offense and defense, and helping to lead Hilbert to their highest conference finish in program history. Madigan recorded seven triple-doubles throughout the Hawks' season. She recorded 228 kills, hitting .211, with 375 assists, 54 aces, 289 digs, and 21 total blocks. Madigan was a major contributor to the 2025 team, helping to establish new single season program records in overall wins (19) and fewest losses (10). She also set program records for kills per set (2.10), assists per set (3.35), aces (58), aces per set (0.49), digs per set (2.59), block assists (23), points (320.5),and attacks (395).
Coach of the Year honors goes to Mount Aloysius head coach Brianna Baker. Baker led the Mounties to a 7-1 conference record and the program's first regular season title in program history.
