DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: La Roche MH Kalli Grine continued her great junior campaign, as the Redhawks went 2-1. On Monday against Penn State Beaver in a 3-0 sweep, Grine played just two sets, had three kills, a pair of digs, as well as a solo block. In Tuesday's tough 3-2 loss to Mt. Aloysius, Grine put together a complete all-around performance, including seven kills, two service aces, a career high 18 digs and 17 service receptions, one solo block and three assisted blocks. In the final match of the week, a 3-0 win over Pitt-Bradford, Grine added seven more kills, 11 digs, 12 services receptions with a perfect 100%, one solo block and five assisted blocks. For the week, Grine had 31 digs, 33 service receptions, including a .931% in the conference matchups, three solo blocks, eight assisted blocks, two service aces and 17 kills.

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona L Anna Batrus anchored the Lions' defense in a 2-0 week of AMCC play while reaching a career milestone, as she totaled 14 digs In a 3-0 win at Pitt-Greensburg on Tuedsay night, she then tallied 29 digs while surpassing the 1,000 career digs mark in a home victory over Hilbert...Mount Aloysius L Madison Barr recorded 57 digs last week for the Mounties while maintaining a .961 return percentage on 77 receptions, helping her team to a 2-0 AMCC record...Hilbert L Natalie Ruhlmann had a strong showing last week for the Hawks recording 35 digs in just two games, while also adding four aces and three assists...Carlow OH Rebecca Hess recorded 42 digs as Carlow went 1-1 on the week, taking Alfred State to a 33-31 third set.
