Gabriella Thurmond, Alfred State College, Women's Volleyball (Offensive)

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Alfred State S Gabriella Thurmond had a great weekend as the primary setter for the Pioneers. In the three games this weekend, she tallied 104 assists while averaging 9.45 assists per set, to go along with her 30 digs and eight aces. Thurmond opened the weekend with a team season best and new career-high of 41 assists as she averaged 10.25 assists per set. She also added 11 digs for her first career double-double against Canton. She followed with a 36 assist, 12 dig, and four ace performance against Potsdam. She ended the weekend with 27 assists and seven digs in a win over Vermont State Johnson.

BEST OF THE REST: Mount Aloysius OH Molly Richards had an impressive week in which she led the Mounties to a 2-2 record, with both losses coming in five set matches, as she produced 22 kills and 26 digs in a loss to Lycoming, she recorded 15 kills and just one error, hitting .452 in a victory over SUNY Cobleskill, then tallied 14 kills and 13 digs in a win against Notre Dame (Md.), before adding eight kills and nine digs in a loss to McDaniel...PS-Altoona MB Makenna Port helped lead the way for the Lions to have a 2-1 week of non-conference play at home, as she had 7.5 points on seven kills and a block assist in a win over Geneva, then recorded 7.5 points on seven kills and a block assist in a loss to Chatham and followed that up with 16.5 points on 13 kills, three solo blocks, and one block assist in a victory over Elizabethtown..La Roche MH Kalli Grine was strong both offensively and defensively during La Roche's 2-1 week, as she picked up three kills with a .273 hitting percentage and three total blocks in a loss to Allegheny, then picked up a match best 10 kills, hitting an incredible .476, while also adding four total blocks, a dig and an assist in a 3-0 win over Carlow, then ended her week with six kills, four more blocks and four digs in a 3-0 win over Lycoming...Carlow OH Alison Humberston averaged 3.50 kills per set in four games as the Celtics went 1-3 on the week in nonconference action, as she tallied a season-high 20 kills in the 3-1 loss to Bethany...Hilbert S Jessee Jonathan led the Hawks offense this weekend putting up 49 assists, nine kills hitting .500, three aces, and 22 digs.
