BEHREND WOMEN CLAIM AMCC TITLE; HARTLE EARNS TOP INDIVIDUAL HONORS
The Penn State Behrend Lions captured their seventh straight conference title on Saturday afternoon on the Penn State Behrend campus in Erie, PA. Behrend senior Lindsey Hartle was the individual champion at the 2025 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships, placing first in the field of 44 runners.
Behrend collected a team-low score of 25 to earn its 15th overall championship, as it secured five of the top ten times on the day. The Lions edged Alfred State College in second (53) and Carlow University in third (88).
Hartle, the 2024 AMCC Runner Up, ran a winning time of 25:55.2 and four seconds faster than last year's championship time. Penn State Altoona senior Victoria Scutti came in second place, earning runner-up status by clocking a time of 26:10.2 on the 6k course. Alfred State senior Oli Kraynik was the first Pioneer to cross the finish line, finishing in third place with a time of 26:10.5.
Behrend freshman Kelsey Hanna took fourth in 26:36.9, as Bethany Litwiler and Alivia Hetrick followed in fifth and sixth, respectively, with times of 27:01.1 and 27:12.0. Lion sophomore Sam Abate finished in ninth place with a time of 27:39.5.
Rounding out the top 10 was Carlow senior Laci Schwirian 27:53.3.
The NCAA Regional Championships will take place on Saturday, November 15.
