AMCC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR APRIL 19-25
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of women's tennis, baseball, and softball for the period running from April 19-25, 2021.

Women's Tennis: PS-Behrend SO Erica Jasinski won a super tiebreaker at No. 1 singles to secure the AMCC Championship for the Behrend Lions on Sunday. She won the first set tiebreaker 7-6 (9-7) and then posted a 10-5 victory for match point. Jasinski was also an 8-2 at No. 2 doubles in the AMCC semifinals.
Softball (Player): Alfred State INF Kailey Wonica collected hits in each of the Pioneers six games this week, including collecting at least two hits in five of the games. Wonica finished the week 14-for-21 (.667 BA, 1.048 SLG%) with five doubles, a home run, six RBIs and five runss scored, while also adding a stolen base.
Softball (Pitcher): Pitt-Bradford SR Jordan Uhing was dominant for the Panthers this week, as she picked up three wins and a save for the Panthers. She began her week with a six inning no-hitter against Medaille. In her second start of the week, Uhing allowed one unearned run in a complete-game victory over Hilbert. In Saturday's sweep of Pitt-Greensburg, Uhing started the day by putting up a 0 in the 8th inning to earn a save in game one, and then allowed two runs on five hits in another complete-game victory. Last week, Uhing totaled 21 innings pitched, allowing only two earned runs. She struck out 21 batters, allowed 10 hits and only one walk. Her ERA for the week was 0.67.
Baseball (Player): PS-Behrend INF Braden Paulinellie extended his hitting streak to seven straight games this week, helping to lead the Lions to a 4-2 record on the week. Paulinelli recorded 11 hits in 21 chances for a .524 average. He also recorded nine RBIs, scored four runs and smacked a pair of doubles and a pair sacrifice flies in six contests.
Baseball (Pitcher): PS-Behrend SR Thomas Zbezinski reached 100 career strikeouts in a complete-game, extra-inning, three-hit shutout in the opener against Alfred State. He threw 10 strikeouts in eight innings, fanning a batter at least once every inning for his fourth win of the season. Behrend held on for the win with a walk-off hit in the bottom of the eighth to take the 1-0 victory.
