  • Tyler Frederick, La Roche College, Men's Basketball
    December 10, 2018
    Frederick averaged 18 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3 assists in a 3-0 week for La Roche. The sophomore forward had 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists in La Roche's 78-60 victory over non-conference opponent Carnegie Mellon. He then registered a double-double with 23 points (10 of 11 FG), 10 rebounds and 4 assists as the Redhawks earned an 85-80 victory at Pitt-Greensburg. Frederick ended his week with 20 points and 8 rebounds in the AMCC Game of the Week, an 82-70 win on the road vs. D'Youville in a battle of unbeatens.

    La Roche College (3-0) travels to Buffalo, NY this Saturday to take on D'Youville College (2-0) in the AMCC men's basketball game of the week. The Redhawks and Spartans are two of three teams in the AMCC that remain unbeaten on the young season. 
  • HILBERT MEN'S BASKETBALL GIVES BACK DURING THE HOLIDAYS

    Sue Cervi, the Director of Volunteers from the Buffalo City Mission, was presented with financial donations and non-perishable food prior to the Hilbert College men’s basketball game December 3.
  • Jeremy VanDuluitgaarden, D'Youville College, Men's Basketball

    VanDuluitgaarden turned in another strong week for the Spartans, leading the team to a pair of victories to open up the conference schedule. Beginning on Wednesday in the team's 97-88 win over Hilbert, VanDuluitgaarden scored a career high 32 points with nine rebounds and five assists - all team highs. He played all 40 minutes in the game, shooting 65% from the field. Then on Saturday in the 72-69 come from behind victory over Franciscan, he scored 14 points with eight rebounds - both team highs. The senior currently leads the the AMCC in scoring with 19.8 PPG and is fourth in the conference with 8.4 RPG. He has scored at least four points in every game this season.
  • Masia Phillips, Hilbert College, Men's Basketball

    Philips led the Hawks to a 1-1 week by averaging 24.5 points, five rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. Phillips was consistent from the field shooting 51.4 percent, as well as shooting 53.8 percent from the arc. The junior guard had a season high 30 points in the loss to Keuka College.

    Members of the D'Youville College men and women's basketball teams recently took time away from the court to help out local families in need of a Thanksgiving dinner this past week.
  • Julian Stover, Mount Aloysius College, Men's Basketball

    Stover averaged 21 points per game in a week when the Mounties played four games, including taking on three tough teams from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and a Division 1 opponent, Robert Morris University. Stover did his damage all over the court as he shot 43.8% from the field, 85% from the line and 42.1% from beyond the arc. He also chipped in 13 rebounds and 14 assists from his guard position. Stover poured in 26 points against Robert Morris, as he shot 50% from long range and 94.7% from the free throw line.
  • Matt Trent, Franciscan University, Men's Basketball

    Trent led the Barons to their first season-opening win in the DIII era of Franciscan basketball. The junior posted a career best 25 points before a .667 shooting day from the floor. Trent went 10-for-15 from field goal range and pulled down a game-best 15 rebounds, including 12 defensive boards. Trent also added a block and a steal.

  • BEHREND'S KLIMCHOCK ELEVATED TO FULL-TIME ASSISTANT COACH

    Penn State Behrend athletics has announced that men's basketball assistant coach Chris Klimchock has been elevated to full-time status.  Klimchock will be entering his third year on the Behrend bench in 2018-19.

    For the sixth consecutive year, members of the Hilbert College men's basketball team joined faculty and staff from the college's Criminal Justice/Forensic Science Association for the program's annual Adopt-a-Highway cleanup initiative on September 8.

    Penn State Altoona men’s basketball landed its most important recruit for the 2018-19 season on Tuesday, September 4, when 11-year-old Teagan Imler signed his letter of intent during a ceremony in the Adler Athletic Complex to officially become a member of the program.
