AMCC ANNOUNCES ATHLETES OF THE WEEK FOR FEBRUARY 16-22, 2026
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's basketball, men's volleyball and baseball, and women's lacrosse for the period running from February 16-22, 2026.
Women's Basketball: Pitt-Bradford G Amber Murak averaged 20.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 3.5 steals per game for the Panthers last week. Murak started the week off with 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals in a close loss to Hilbert. On Saturday, in their season-ending win over Pitt-Greensburg, Murak scored 24 points to go along with four steals and two assists.
Men's Basketball: Hilbert F Larry Morse recorded his 10th and 11th double-doubles of the season in leading Hilbert College to a 1-1 week and the fourth seed in the upcoming 2025-26 AMCC Men's Basketball Championship Tournament. In a 105-109 loss to Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday, Morse scored 37 points on 15-of-20 shooting while adding 13 rebounds. In Saturday's 90-76 win at Carlow University, he recorded 30 points on 13-of-19 shooting and grabbed another 13 boards. For the week, Morse averaged 33.3 points, shot 72% from the field, was 11-of-13 from the free throw line, grabbed 26 rebounds (11 on the offensive end), dished for five assists, and registered three steals and two blocks.
Men's Volleyball (Offensive): Hilbert OPP Nik D'Andrea led the Hawks offensively in three matches last week. He recorded double-digit kills in all three matches, including a double-double of 17 kills and 10 digs against conference opponent Houghton. For the week, D'Andrea, registered 63.0 points (4.80 per set), 53 kills (4.08 kills per set), 23 digs (1.77 digs per set), to go along with eight service aces, four blocks, and a .234 hitting percentage.
Men's Volleyball (Defensive): Hilbert L Jake Sehn had a record-breaking week for the Hawks with 64 total digs -- he averaged 4.92 digs per set on the week, including 5.0 in conference play. His 25 digs vs Houghton set a program record. Sehn also added seven assists and a .957 reception percentage on the week.
Women's Lacrosse (Offensive): Mount Aloysius A/M Chelsea Stout led the Mounties to their first victory of the 2026 season. The freshman scored a team-high five goals and collected an assist in the Mounties 15-4 win over Geneva.
Women's Lacrosse (Defensive): Mount Aloysius D Courtney Bassett made her presence felt in the season-opening win at Geneva, anchoring the Mounties on the defensive end. She finished with eight ground balls and four caused turnovers, helping control possession and limit scoring opportunities in the 15-4 victory.
Baseball (Player): Alfred State SR INF Zach Young averaged .478 after going 11-for-23 on the week against two top-50 teams in DIII baseball. He went 9-for15 in the series against Roanoke, including two doubles and three RBI, while getting walked twice. For the week, he recorded 11 hits with two doubles, three runs scored and three RBI.
Baseball (Pitcher): Pitt-Braford SR Maddox Stadler picked up a win over Bethany for Pitt-Bradford on opening weekend. In his start, he went 5.0 innings, allowing one earned run. He allowed just six runners to reach, giving up four hits and two walks while striking out one.
