  • AMCC WOMEN'S SOCCER GAME OF THE WEEK: PENN ST. ALTOONA @ PENN ST. BEHREND

    The AMCC women's soccer game of the week is a clash between the Lions of Penn State Altoona and Penn State Behrend. The Lady Lions from Altoona enter the game of the week with a 2-2-1 AMCC record, while the Behrend Lions are 3-0-1 in conference play.
  • Isabelle Orange, La Roche University, Women's Soccer - Defensive

    Orange helped the Redhawks to a 2-0 week, recording six saves in 180 minutes of play-time, including a 1-0 overtime victory vs. Mt. Aloysius. The victory against Mt. Aloysius is Orange's second shutout win this season and the third of her career.
  • Brenna McGuire, Penn State Behrend, Women's Soccer - Offensive

    McGuire started in two games for the Lions this week tallying three goals, including one game-winner. She scored both of her team's goals against D'Youville on Tuesday in a 2-1 win in double OT. McGuire scored a goal with seven minutes remaining in the game to force overtime and again to seal the win in the second overtime. McGuire also scored a goal against Franciscan in a 2-1 win.

  • Cassie Brooks, D'Youville College, Women's Soccer - Defensive

    Brooks had yet another impressive game at both ends of the field in Saturday's 2-1 victory over La Roche. Brooks tallied her second assist of the season on the team's first goal of the game in the win over the Redhawks. On the defensive end, Cassie helped limit La Roche to just eight shots, five of which were on goal. Her play at both ends of the field have been impressive this season as she is tied for the team lead in assists and is tied for second in goals with two ? all from her left back position.
  • Kierra Irwin, Penn State Altoona, Women's Soccer - Offensive

    Irwin had a big week for the Lady Lions. In last Tuesday night's 2-1 home loss to W&J, she recorded an assist while attempting six shots and putting three on goal. In Saturday's 6-4 win at AMCC foe Alfred State, Kierra recorded her first collegiate hat trick, scoring three goals to go along with an assist, six shot attempts, and five shots on goal. In two games last week, Kierra totaled three goals (including one game-winner), two assists, eight points, 12 shot attempts, and eight shots on goal.

  • Lauren Davey, Mount Aloysius College, Women's Soccer - Defensive

    Davey led the Mounties to a 1-0-1 week, as she produced two shutouts in goal. Davey stopped both shots she saw in a 6-0 win against Thiel. In a 2OT tie against Penn State Behrend, she made seven saves in 110 minutes. Davey currently ranks second in the AMCC in Goals Against Average and Save Percentage.
  • Ashley Lucas, Pitt-Greensburg, Women's Soccer - Offensive

    Lucas started both matches for Pitt-Greensburg this past week, where she totaled five goals and had one assist for 11 points. She scored the game-winning goal in both matches against Geneva and in the AMCC opener on Saturday at Pitt-Bradford. Lucas put together a standout performance in her first AMCC match, scoring four goals and dishing out an assist for nine points, which tied the school record for goals in a game and is second for points in a contest. The rookie has scored in three-straight games and all but one this season and has at least one point in all seven games. She currently leads the conference in goals (10), assists (6), and points (26).
  • Lauren Yoder, Pitt-Greensburg, Women's Soccer - Defensive
    September 16, 2019
    Yoder started both games in net for Pitt-Greensburg where she made eight saves and allowed just two goals. She made eight saves in the 4-2 victory over Chatham and posted her fourth shutout of the season Saturday afternoon at Wilson. Yoder has allowed just two goals in five games this season and currently is tops in the conference in wins (5), goals-against-average (0.40), goals allowed (2), and save percentage (0.909).
  • Ashley Lucas, Pitt-Greensburg, Women's Soccer - Offensive

    Lucas was a factor in six of the eight goals scored this past week for Pitt-Greensburg. She totaled three assists in the 4-2 victory over Chatham and had a goal and dished out two helpers in the 4-0 shutout at Wilson. On Wednesday, both Pitt-Greensburg and Chatham were ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 NCAA Division III- Great Lakes Region rankings. Chatham entered as the seventh ranked team, while Pitt-Greensburg was just two spots behind at number nine. Lucas has recorded at least a point in all five games this season and has scored in all but one. She is tops in the conference in points (15) and ranks second in goals (5).

    It's the first time in the history of the Medaille College Mavericks that their soccer and lacrosse teams can claim home-field advantage in a game.
  • Belle Orange, La Roche College, Women's Soccer - Defensive

    Orange picked up two wins in goal this past week with victories over Waynesburg and St. Vincent. Orange recorded the second shutout of her career against Saint Vincent on Friday September 6th. Her distribution of the ball helped limit the Bearcats opportunities, as the opposing team only had three total shots on the day, none on goal.
  • Kourtney Walls, Mount Aloysius College, Women's Soccer - Offensive

    Walls had major offensive output in a week that saw that Mounties go 2-0-1. In a win against St. Vincent, she scored two of the team's five goals. In a overtime win against Geneva, she scored the game-winning goal with a rocket into the top corner, three minutes into the overtime. She is currently second in the AMCC in goals and points.
  • Laurie Poeller, D'Youville, Women's Soccer - Defensive
    September 03, 2019
    Poeller had an impressive start to her 2019 season this past week. Poeller recorded back-to-back shutouts to begin the season as the team defeated Bethany 7-0 on Friday and took down Alfred University 1-0 on Saturday to win the Spartan Classic. Poeller made two saves against Bethany and then made 12 saves against Alfred to be named Tournament MVP. The two starts Poeller got were the first two of her career. She currently leads or is tied for the lead in saves (14), save percentage (1.000), goals allowed (0), and goals allowed average (0) in the AMCC.
  • Tiffany Michalek, Pitt-Greensburg, Women's Soccer - Offensive

    Michalek scored in both of Pitt-Greensburg's games this past week, as she found the back of the net in the 79th minute in the season-opening victory against St. Vincent and followed with the first goal in the 30th minute to put Pitt-Greensburg up 1-0 against Wisconsin-Platteville. In the two games over the opening weekend of her sophomore season, Michalek was very efficient with her shots, totaling nine shots, seven of which she put on goal.

    Penn State Behrend, winners of 14 AMCC women's soccer crowns, has once again been selected by league coaches to defend their conference title.
  • SPRAGUE NAMED ASSOCIATE HEAD SOCCER COACH AT MOUNT ALOYSIUS

    Mount Aloysius College has hired Adam Sprague to be the new Associate Head Soccer Coach at the college. He replaces Laurence Hutchinson who departed at the end of June.
  • CHRISTYN BOBAK NAMED FRANCISCAN HEAD WOMEN'S SOCCER COACH

    The Franciscan University department of athletics has announced Christyn (Dupre' '10) Bobak as the next head coach for the women's soccer program.
